A metal spinner by trade, Alwyn supervises the sheet product division of factory operations, while still being called upon to employ his special craft from time to time. Alwyn joined Metal Art when the company purchased the Metallion assets, bringing across his wealth of knowledge and experience working for 15 years with that product range.
During a metalwork industry career spanning more than 25 years, Alwyn has also become experienced in die making, powder coating operations and project implementation. He was heavily involved in bringing Avalon Park’s Smiling Windmills to the local community, as well as many other metal art and furniture installations around Wellington and further afield.
Alwyn takes pride in his adaptability and willingness to deal with the many production and staffing issues that arise in the factory each day. He is always ready to share his expertise and offer advice to colleagues and customers when the situation requires input from a manufacturing viewpoint.
In his spare time Alwyn enjoys a spot of recreational hunting in the Wairarapa hills.
