Products we have made for Gisborne District Council
We designed and manufactured park benches for new cycle and walkways around Gisborne. The ones pictured above are at Alfred Cox Park and on the waterfront at the Turanganui River entrance. Another job was to create some special timber bollards for installation around the restored Gisborne Cenotaph prior to 2015 Anzac Day commemorations.
The new Oneroa Beachfront Cycle and Walkway opened in August 2015. Along the route, which was planned and formed to tell the story of Waikanae, are several examples of Metal Art products designed and custom-made for the project.
These include rope-adorned block bollards and carved seating features, hardwood & stainless steel bicycle racks, shower/water bubbler stations and distinctive litter bins. We also supplied the laser-cut stencils used in the concrete pattern that brings a Māori design element into the pathway.
And in the neighbourhood park and playground on London Road in Gisborne, robust yet good-looking park furniture has been installed using heavy concrete bases, recycled timber and metal components fabricated in our factory.
