Seating on the Bluebridge Cook Strait ferry Straitsman was refurbished in 2011 using Replas recycled plastic seat slats .
In 2015, with the seats still looking as good as they did the day they were re-installed, Strait Shipping refurnished the decks of the Strait Feronia with Civic seats. Naturally enough, they chose the same recycled-plastic slats that had already proved themselves in Cook Strait conditions.
